Regis started his professional life in England as a dish washer and spent most of his lifetime outside France. He has spent extensive years in Asia and he enjoys making other people believe that he's more Asian than European. Regis has gradually climbed up the ladder during the course of his career in the international hospitality industry and first became general manager at the age of 35, managing a Pan-Pacific Hotel in Bangladesh. He had then worked as General Manager and Project Managers for well-known international hotel chains such as Shangri-la and Starwood, and opened several hotels all over Asia. Early 2004, when Howard Johnson China started looking for a general manager to develop and manage its first luxury 5-star property, Regis's passion for luxury hotel product and won him favors from both investors and the management company. In addition to his passion for the hotel business, Regis also has great passion for architectural projects. He personally designed his own house in Thailand, and a couple of restaurants in the neighborhood. Sporting is also a favorite pastime for him, Surfing, Sky Diving can always satisfy his thirst for challenge and excitement. Regis also takes pleasure in writing and excels in it as he does in everything when he sets his mind on it. His latest book will be published around Chinese New Year. A biographical work he's currently working on in his spare time will be completed about the same time, and it's scheduled to be published by Author House in Fall 2005. He also paints and his works have been exhibited in Paris and Osaka. Now, with over 30 years of experiences in the hospitality industry and a dedication to establish the image of the new Plaza Royale brand as a luxury 5-star property that provides customers personalized services, Regis is looking forward to leading the Plaza Royale Hotel Beijing into success in the competitive Beijing market. |
