Second Marriott Executive Apartments Opens In Shanghai
Marriott has expanded its portfolio of luxury, extended stay Marriott Executive Apartments in Shanghai with the opening of the Union Square Shanghai Pudong Marriott Executive Apartments under a management agreement with Shanghai Xing Sheng Industry Development Group.
This is the second Marriott Executive Apartments property in Shanghai, and the fourth of its kind in China. The general manager is Jerry Maiao.
The 223-unit Union Square Shanghai Pudong Marriott Executive Apartments is situated in the heart of the Lujiazui district of Pudong. The surrounding neighborhood boasts several office towers, high-end residential buildings, trendy restaurants, and retail developments.
Towering 38 stories, the hotel boasts 223 full-service apartments. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, plasma screen television, high-speed internet access, three-time weekly housekeeping services, and 24-hour concierge service.
Currently there are 14 Marriott Executive Apartment hotels throughout the world. They are located in Hong Kong, Mumbai, Prague, Budapest, Brussels, Dubai, Tokyo, Bangkok, Shanghai, London, Sao Paulo, and Beijing. Future openings include the 102-unit Marriott Executive Apartments Seoul (2006), the 120-unit Marriott Executive Apartments Doha (2006), and the 95-unit Marriott Executive Apartments Bahrain (2007).
