Construction of the Tianjin Beach Holiday Resort, involving a total investment of RMB10 billion, has been formally started.

The holiday resort includes a yacht port along the Tanggu Beach and a 2 sq kilometer outdoor swimming area. The project will take 10 years to complete.

When completed, it will cover 19 sq kilometers of sea area, of which 10 sq kilometers still needs to be dredged. The sea dredging project will start from next year, and after that the coastline will reach 7 kilometers long.

The resort will be divided into five function areas, including a yacht club, a coastal hot spring resort area, a new beach bathing area, a sports zone, and a shopping area.
