Wu Hailong, the director general of Beijing's Shijingshan District Tourism Bureau, says that Shijingshan will be developed as the travel center for western Beijing.

In the next few years, a modern travel and entertainment area in the eastern Shijingshan area will be built, including Shijingshan Amusement Park, International Sculpture Park and gymnasiums for the Olympic Games. It will be an area combining entertainment, leisure, restaurants and shopping malls. The western part will be a zoology leisure travel area, including Badachu Park, Fahai Temple and Tiantaishan Travel Spot.

Next year, they plan to build the city's largest indoor theme amusement in the Shijingshan Amusement Park, and also plan to construct several high-grade hotels in this district. At present, there is no hotel above 4-star in this district.
