From now until 2010, Xinjiang Kanasi Travel Spot, a national scenic spot in China, will undergo a complete reconstruction involving RMB3 billion in investment.

According to the travel spot's plan, five scenic spots in the area, including Xiahukou District, Baihaba, Tielieketi, Heliutan and Jiadengyu will be renovated and upon the completion of the construction in 2010, the travel spot is expected to be called West China Park.

Tan Weiping, director of the management commission of Kanasi Scenic spot, disclosed that they have already invited international public bidding for the layouts of the five scenic spots under discussion. By 2010, the scenic spot will be a holiday focused one instead of the current sightseeing oriented model.

Last year, Kanasi Scenic Spot attracted 760,000 tourists.
