Headed by Richard Doyle, the supervisor of Australian Northern Territory Tourist Commission, five representative travel service providers from the Northern Territory in Australia have come to Beijing to exchange ideas and promote their resources to Chinese travel professionals.

This is reportedly the first presentation that the Northern Territory has made to introduce its tourism resources to China. There have already been three travel routes launched between China and the Northern Territory. These routes, include the seven-day trip to the Northern Territory launched by Guang Zhi Lv Travel Agency; the dream tour to Australian Red Center; and the "Cross Australia" line jointly launched by Tourism West Australian and Tourism Queensland.

Doyle says that after they received the first Chinese tour groups during last year's October Golden Week holiday, they have been determined to explore more in the China market.

The Northern Territory lines in the northernmost area of Australia with Darwin as its portal to the outside world.
