Sichuan Provincial Tourism Association has said that they will soon launch an all-In-one discount card that will be applicable for all the scenic spots in the province.

The discount card is an annual card and it can only be used by the cardholder, and the cardholder's fingerprint is embedded in the card for identification. In cases where the cardholder brings another tourist who will pay the full price to visit the scenic spot, the cardholder won't need to buy any door ticket. The discount is only available during low seasons and only applicable for door tickets. Tourists need to pay separately for other travel items.

Sichuan is a big province with rich tourism resource including such famous scenic spots as Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Emei Shan and Le Shan.

The province achieved RMB97.9 billion in tourism income in 2006. However, tourist reception in different areas of the province is unbalanced due to the uneven spread of scenic spots. The launch of the card is expected to help increase travel service quality and upgrade travel standards.

There is still no confirmed date for when this card will be launched.
