Budget hotel GreenTree Inn announced that it now has more than 100 chain hotels across China and most of these hotels are located in the Yangtze River Delta region and the economically developed regions like southern China, Beijing and Tianjin.

GreenTree Inn competes with chains like Super 8, Motel 168, Home Inns, and Express y Holiday Inn. The brand entered the Chinese market in 2004 with US$140 million in funds. Positioned as a business budget hotel, GreenTree Inn mainly targets business people.

Now that it has reached the milestone of 100 hotels, it should be able to have better scaled operations.

GreenTree Inns Hotel Group Management Company was formed by a group of international companies based overseas. In China, it has opened or started construction of hotels in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Wuxi, Nantong, Yangzhou, and Dongguan.
