Robert PetrovićRobert Petrović has been promoted to hotel manager of the 253-room Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street.

Petrović was previously the hotel's executive assistant manager, food and beverage. With extensive experience in the hotel industry spanning across four continents over the last 18 years, Petrović began his career in the hospitality industry as a bellboy at the Hotel Bristol in Vienna in 1989. Over the next 10 years, he held several food and beverage key positions at the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney, Hotel City Club in Vienna, The Westgate Hotel in San Diego and the ANA Grand Hotel Wien in Vienna before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg in Germany in 2003 as director of food and beverage.

Petrović's vast experience in the food and beverage operations has seen him playing an integral role in the pre-opening teams for Hotel City Club in Vienna, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin in Germany, The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta in Indonesia and most recently The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo in March, 2007.

A Serbian by nationality, Petrović holds a degree in Hotel Management from the Lorraine Martin Business College in Sydney, Australia and is a member of the Global Hoteliers Club. An avid long-distance runner, Petrović enjoys running with guests throughout the streets of Beijing and the nearby historical parks. Additional sporting interests include hiking and reading. He is also fluent in English, German, Serbian and Romanian.
