The Putman, Hong Kong's newest boutique hotel apartment has officially opened.

The Putman will provide executive accommodation for discerning long-stay business travellers who are looking for comfort, space and designer-style in Hong Kong's Central district. The boutique hotel apartment is entirely purpose-built to Designer Madame Andrée Putman's specifications as she oversaw site design, development, space-use, exterior elevation and interior decoration.

"I have tried to create a sentiment of opulent yet understated elegance," Putman said. "By creating a dialogue between the façade and the interior, the outside and the inside, I aimed to create an oasis of calm amid the bustle of Hong Kong. The Putman's design represents a fresh and subtle energy driven by an ambitious desire for comfort."

Each of the 1,300 square foot one-bedroom apartments are full-floor suites with private dual-lift lobbies. Inside the apartments will be three distinctive living areas, all inter-connected by glass doors, open hallways, high ceilings and a chic neutral décor for versatile living.

Apartments are fully fitted with state-of-the-art gadgets and furnishings including two Toshiba 42″ HD LCD televisions, Siemens and Krups kitchen appliances and a stand alone Villeroy & Boch bathtub. On-site management will provide daily housekeeping services as well as full porter, maintenance and concierge services.

Other facilities in the block will include a café located on the ground floor, and a chic lobby area.
