Shanghai's First Private General Aviation Company To Fly
Shanghai Jinhui General Aviation Company, the first privately run general aviation company in Shanghai, has obtained an operation license and is soon going to fly.
With a total registered capital of RMB50 million, Jinhui is invested in by Shanghai Zenisun Investment Company, a real estate development firm. Different from existing general aviation companies like Deer Jet, Jinhui will feature helicopters and focus on growing in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region, providing such general services as medical rescue, VIP travel, ocean observation and airborne patrol.
Jinhui has purchased an MD-600N helicopter and a 269CB helicopter and ordered two EC-135 helicopters which will be delivered for use in December 2007. Jinhui will have Shanghai Gaodong Airport as its base and it also plans to build an airport for itself in Shanghai's Fengxian area.
Similarly, the Helitong Airline Shanghai, the first airline company providing rental helicopter services in Shanghai, said it possesses two Sikorsky helicopters and is ready to commence business operations. The charge for one hour rental is RMB10,000, and Zhang Fu, a company representative said the two helicopters are a 3-seat Schweizer and a 4-seat Schweizer. Each was purchased by the company for more than RMB10 million.
At present, the Helitong rental helicopter service is available in cities like Beijing, Nanjing and Qingdao and common people in Nanjing can share the service. Shanghai only has one airline company providing such service now.
