The 684-room Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel will open soon and has made two top-level appointments.

John Northen has been appointed general manager of the hotel. Northen is originally from Britain and has been working with Marriott International, Inc. since 1986. His career has taken him from Europe to North Africa to Asia as general manager and area general manager of business hotels, resorts, and spas. He spent the past three and a half years as the general manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai and is also the chairman of the Shanghai Business Council.

Richard Beh is the new director of marketing and hails from Kuala Lumpur, He has worked in five-star hotels throughout Southeast Asia and served in a similar capacity with Renaissance Melaka Hotel most recently.
