The newly established Xiamen base of Shandong Airlines plans to open five new domestic routes including Xiamen-Zhuhai-Sanya, Xiamen-Jinan-Huhhot, Xiamen-Nanchang-Guiyang, Xiamen-Nanjing-Tianjin, and Xiamen-Zhengzhou-Tianjin.

All of these five routes are round-trip. The Xiamen-Zhuhai-Sanya flight will be conducted every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, starting on January 5, 2008; the Xiamen-Jinan-Huhhot flight will be conducted every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, starting on January 7, 2008; both the Xiamen-Nanchang-Guiyang and Xiamen-Nanjing-Tianjin flights will be conducted every Tuesday and Friday, starting on January 15, 2008; the Xiamen-Zhengzhou-Tianjin flight will be conducted every Thursday and Sunday, starting on January 17, 2008.

By 2007, Shandong Airlines owned 37 aircraft and operated more than 200 domestic routes with over 700 flights throughout 50 cities around China, as well as some international routes such as to Korea. The company has established aviation bases in Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Chongqing and Huhhot.
