Capital International Airport Terminal 3 Opens
Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport was formally opened on February 29.
The first batch of airlines has transferred from Terminal 2 to the new building. These include Sichuan Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, British Airways, EL AL Israel Airlines, and Shandong Airlines.
The Beijing-Shanghai Express Air service currently in Terminal 2 will be moved to Terminal 3 together with Air China on March 26. Air China said that they have arranged a corresponding green channel for the luggage of passengers traveling on the Beijing-Shanghai Express Air.
Besides Air China, the second batch of airlines that will move to Terminal 3 on March 26, includes Shanghai Airlines, SAS, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Asiana Airlines, Air Canada, United Airlines, ANA, Thai Airways International, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Japan Airlines, Dragonair, Turkish Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Air Macau, S7 Airlines, and Egyptair.
