Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Boon Kwee Lim as general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Ningbo.

As the leader of the pre-opening team, Lim is responsible for launching the Shangri-La brand in Ningbo in the third quarter of 2008. Originally from Singapore, Lim has more than 23 years of professional and academic experience in the hospitality industry with an emphasis on managing deluxe operations in USA, China and South East Asia.

Prior to becoming general manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Ningbo, Lim was the general manager of the Shangri-La Golden Flower, Xi'an. Before joining Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in 2006, Lim held numerous senior management positions in Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Sedona Hotels International and InterContinental Hotels Group. Lim has a MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and an Honours degree from University of Denver, Colorado.
