Potala Palace Will Limit Tourists During National Day Holiday

With the launch of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, Lhasa has become a new destination for tourists.
During this coming October holiday, Potala Palace, which is the hottest spot for tourists visiting Lhasa, will limit the admission of tourists. During the golden week holiday, only 500 tourists will be allowed to enter the Potala Palace each day.
It is estimated that about 100,000 tourists may enter Lhasa for holiday during the upcoming Golden Week holiday. However, only 500 will be allowed to enter the Potala Palace each day in order to better protect the cultural relics inside the palace.
