The China UnionPay Liaoning Branch says that China UnionPay has formally launched its ATM service in Italy in cooperation with CartaSi.

This means Chinese travelers using China Unionpay cards will be able to withdraw cash in Italy when they travel.

By the end of this year, China UnionPay card holders will also be able to use their cards for consumption at more than 8000 businesses in Italy.

Up to 1000 ATMs have already been launched in Italy and the number will reach more than 3500 by the end of this year. Most of these ATMs are located in Rome, Milan and Florence where Chinese tourists tend to congregate.
