Room Rates In Hainan Will Increase During New Year Holiday

According to the price check of hotels in Haikou, Sanya, Wanning and Qionghai conducted by Hainan Provincial Price Supervision Center, most of the hotels in Hainan will see a general rise in room rates during the coming New Year Holiday.
HPPSC says that the average markup for hotels above 4-star will be 57%, and those hotels in Sanya's Yalong Bay, Sanya's Dadonghai, and Bo'ao will see greater increases. Of those, local media report that the price of the Elegance Room at Sheraton Sanya Resort will be raised to RMB1780 from the normal RMB1030, and the Garden View Room of Resort Golden Palm Sanya will be raised to RMB910 from RMB480.
The markup this year is about the same as last year, and HPPSC says all the rates are still under the maximum price limit set by the local government.
