Beijing's Fengtai District will invest up to RMB80 million to build a high-level hotel near Fangzhuang to act as a training facility for teenagers from nearby vocational schools.
The hotel will be opened to the public by the end of 2007 and will offer practical educational experiences for students desiring more knowledge about the food and beverage sector within the hospitality industry.
The hotel will be the biggest training center for vocational skills in the district.
At present, there are about 8000 students in the three occupation high schools in Fengtai. In a related move, the district government will also invest about RMB11 million to strengthen the offerings of these three schools in order to combine them into two schools during the Eleventh 5-year Plan Period.
