It's only a few weeks after the Spring Festival holiday, but economy hotel chain GreenTree Inn has already signed many properties across China and is increasing its growth rate.

GreenTree Inn has signed eight properties in Shanghai, Jiangyin and Xuzhou in Jiangsu Province; Jinan in Shandong Province; Zhengzhou in Henan Province; and Wuhan in China's central Hubei Province since the Chinese New Year holiday.

The Shanghai properties are situated on Shanghai's Songjiang Huancheng Road, Fengxian Nanqiao Town Renmin Road and Dingxi Road, respectively, which shows that the hotel has turned its eyes from the downtown Shanghai to the fast growing suburbs of the city. These eight signed properties are expected to add more than 1000 new rooms to GreenTree Inn's China portfolio.

GreenTree Inn is one of the first wholly foreign-owned business hotel chains in China. It says it distinguishes itself from competitors such as Motel 168, Super 8, and Home Inns by providing upscale lodging facilities and services at affordable prices under the same high standards. GreenTree Inn hotels have opened or started construction of hotels in the cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Wuxi, Nantong, Yangzhou, and Dongguan and plans to open hotels in Los Angeles and other major cities on the Asia-Pacific rim soon.
