China Air Transport Association and TravelSky Technology Limited have jointly launched a service hotline for e-ticket buyers so that they can verify the authenticity of e-tickets purchased in China.

Through the new service hotline 400-815-8888, which is answered by telephone operators between 8:00 and 20:00 and operated by IVR at other times, consumers can check the authenticity of their e-tickets by inputting the serial number of the e-ticket. They can also make inquiries about flights and report complaints about e-ticket purchases.

E-tickets were fully launched in China in October 2006. Since then, many passengers have been delayed for check-in or have found that their e-tickets are bogus because of wayward sellers. This new hotline will help to better protect consumers and the airline industry.
