New UATP Regional Commercial Manager Focuses On China

UATP, the airline-owned global corporate travel payment network is expanding its business operations to China with the addition of Steven Luan, as regional commercial manager.

"The UATP business model is ideal for Chinese businesses that understand the value of central billing, detailed travel data and full control over their travel spending," Ralph Kaiser, president and CEO, UATP said. "For more than 70 years, UATP has been the airline industry's solution to build customer loyalty, increase sales and lower the cost of distribution. China is an important market for UATP and having Steven Luan as our local UATP representative is an important step in building a strong relationship with airlines, travel agencies and business travelers in China."

Luan will be promoting UATP's corporate payment network services with prospective airline Issuers in China and throughout the region. He will also serve as the primary point of contact for all UATP operations in China.

Luan brings a wealth of experience to UATP with ten years of sales experience forging relationships with airlines and facilitating sales of aircraft and helicopters. His talents as a consultant and experience in sales are a great asset to UATP as it builds relationships with the Chinese airlines and travel agencies. Luan holds an undergraduate degree from the Beijing Institute of Business and a MBA from the University of Queensland, Australia.
