Cathay Pacific Airways Will Slash Fuel Surcharge From April 1

Cathay Pacific Airways says that it will adopt a new fuel surcharge standard starting April 1.
From April 1, 2007, Cathay Pacific Airways will slash the long-haul and short-haul fuel surcharges to HK$420 and HK$102, respectively, from the current HK$438 and HK$106, a drop of about 4%.
Cathay Pacific Airways' long haul flights are those that go between Hong Kong and the southwest Pacific, North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India and Bangkok. The short-haul flights are those that fly between Hong Kong and Chinese mainland and Japan as well as those flying between South Korea and New York/Vancouver.
In February this year, Cathay Pacific Airways decreased the fuel surcharge and that standard lasts until the end of March.
