Hanting Hotels announced that it has signed 14 direct operation properties in the first quarter of this year and will increase the total number of its hotels to over 100 within the year.

The 14 newly signed hotels are all located at the important commercial cities in east China, south China and north China, three of which are located in the bustling Xidan, Xisi and Chaoyang areas of Beijing, respectively.

Cheng Jun, vice president of Hangting Hotels, says that Hangting Hotels will concentrate on developing business hotels in the key commercial cities and try to open 100 hotels at the end of this year.

Currently, the average price of Hanting Hotels' room ranges from RMB250-RMB300. Though it is a bit more expensive than that of some other budget hotels, Hanting's hotel rooms are still welcomed by the guests, the company says. Hanting Hotels emphasizes that they will continue to focus on developing the middle-end business hotel market and target business clients.
