The Hilton Beijing has officially launched a campaign to introduce smoke-free zones into public areas around the hotel.
"More and more people in China are aware of the impact of smoking on their health, and more and more travelers are become astute and health conscious. For Hilton Beijing, it was extremely important to recognize these trends and, in a first for hotels in China, create smoke free public areas across the hotel," said Vlad Reyes, general manager of Hilton Beijing.
The Executive Lounge on the 22nd floor of the Hilton Beijing will be the first public area deemed smoke-free. In coming months, the campaign will also target other areas in the hotel.
