Howard Johnson Signs Two Jiangsu Hotel

Howard Johnson International (China) has signed two management contracts for Howard Johnson Plaza Yixing and Howard Johnson Kaina Hotel Changzhou developed by Yixing Garden Hotel Company and Changzhou RPD Property Development Company, respectively.

Howard Johnson Plaza Yixing will be the first international hotel located in the industrial park of the "Pottery Capital" city Yixing. The five-star business hotel will have 210 spacious rooms and suites, with a 900-square-meter pillarless ballroom and 6 function rooms. Other facilities include 3 different styled Chinese and Western restaurants and fully equipped fitness center with an indoor swimming pool, sauna and spa. The hotel is targeted to open in early 2008.

Howard Johnson Kaina Hotel Changzhou is centrally located in the city of Changzhou, along the lower Yangtze River in southeastern China's Jiangsu province.  The 50-story skyscraper hotel and serviced apartments overlook the whole city.  The 250-room hotel will have extensive facilities for accommodations, dining, meeting and conference and recreations. The Hotel is scheduled to open in 2009.

We are in most of the major cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Xian, Guangzhou, etc. Today to present Howard Johnson in the cities like Changzhou and Yixing showed a step further in the growing path of the group and we foresee a potential markets in the coming years," commented Wilburt Chang, chairman and CEO of Howard Johnson International (China). "The successful opening of Howard Johnson Plaza Ningbo last year is obviously a good example in the secondary cities."

Howard Johnson International (China) says it has achieved unprecedented growth and expansion with 13 hotels in operation and 28 hotels to be open by 2007 and 50 hotels open by 2008 and 100 hotels in China in Howard Johnson's portfolio by 2010.
