The first train from Nanchang to Tibet will start running from the Nanchang Railway station on June 9.
The tourists from Jiangxi province will take the train heading for Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the train will begin running with 12 carriages equipped with soft sleeping berths and an accommodation capacity of more than 400 passengers.
However the direct rail link between Nanchang and Lhasa in Tibet is not completed yet, so passengers will be transferred onto N 917 train at Xining, Qinghai, and then travel to Lhasa.
