Nanjing Tourism Bureau reports that not long after the tourism promotion delegation led by Nanjing came back from Japan and South Korea, the Tourist Club of Japan replied with a formal letter and says it will organize many tourist groups to Nanjing from June to September 2007.

A new 7-day tour in and around Nanjing has been designed for Japanese tourists. The tour includes many famous spots such as Nanjing Museum, Zhongshan Mountain, and Qinghuai River. The price of the tour is as high as RMB13,000, but it has reportedly been well received.

Japan and South Korea are the second and fourth largest markets, respectively, for overseas visitors to Nanjing. A representative from the Nanjing Tourism Bureau says the success of the promotion means Nanjing is becoming more a famous international tourist destination.
