HKTB Appoints New Executive Members

Hong Kong Tourism BoardHong Kong Tourism Board Chairman, The Hon James Tien, has announced the appointment of Anthony Lau Chun Hon as executive director and Daisy Lam as deputy executive director of the HKTB.

The appointments of Lau and Lam are effective from August 1, 2007 and September 1, 2007, respectively. Tien said that both Lau and Lam brought with them extensive expertise in marketing and management, making them the ideal candidates for the executive director and deputy executive director positions.

"I'm confident that their deep knowledge of the local and international markets and their superb management skills will ensure that the HKTB is in an even stronger position to market and promote Hong Kong worldwide, and to meet new challenges and opportunities amid the intensified competition in the global tourism market," Tien remarked. "They'll lead the organization to even closer collaboration with travel-trade partners, and help strengthen Hong Kong's position as one of the world's premier destinations."
