Representatives from China's hospitality industry have released a manifesto at the 2007 China Holiday Resort and Hotel Development Conference recently held at Qiandaohu KaiYuan Holiday Hotel.

In the Manifesto, the participants suggest China National Tourism Administration issue the holiday resort development, operation and service standard as soon as possible so as to provide a guide for holiday resorts owners to develop, construct and operate their properties. They also want to channel in more investment for the industry.

The Conference saw more than 200 attendees from the tourism industry from both China and abroad, including tourism groups, hotel management groups, travel and hotel investors, who held a series of speeches and seminars centered on the development of China's hospitality industry. The parties agreed to continue this annual meeting and hold it in the future at a different holiday hotel in different cities each year.

Hospitality professionals believe the publishing of Qiandaohu Manifesto will speed up China's holiday hotel development. It is important to have set standards to ensure that guest quality and expectations can be met and maintained.
