Hilton Hotels Group has signed with Wuhan Xinya Group to bring its sixth hotel in mainland China to Wuhan.
The new hotel will be located in Yijia International Center, a property developed by Xinya Group on Xudong Street in Wuchang. It will cover more than 60000 square meters in construction area.
Besides Hilton, other luxury hotel brands like Shangri-La, Best Western, Swiss-Belhotel and Accor have already opened their hotels in Wuhan, but most of their hotels are located in Hankou. So Hilton's choice of Wuchang is expected to bring a new layout to Wuhan's hospitality industry.
Statistics from local media show that high star hotels only take up 10% of Wuhan's business market, so there is still a lot of room for development.
