Marriott Will Add Two Hotels In Hangzhou

Marriott has announced plans to add two more new hotels in Hangzhou to offer more choice of accommodations for travelers.
The 330-room JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou will open at the end of 2009 and the 330-room Courtyard by Marriott Hangzhou City Centre will open in 2008. With their addition, Marriot will have a total of 15 hotels in Shanghai and the surrounding areas.
JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts is Marriott's luxury hotel brand. The JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou will offer a variety of dining options, including a casual, all-day restaurant; a Chinese restaurant with 10 private dining rooms, a specialty restaurant with three private dining rooms, and a lobby lounge and entertainment bar.
Courtyard by Marriott hotels are designed for business and leisure travelers. Courtyard by Marriott Hangzhou City Centre owns an executive floor and lounge, a business center and a gift shop. Guests of the Courtyard will have access to the JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou's meeting space, restaurants and lounges, health club and spa.
In addition to these two hotels, Marriot has many properties under construction in Shanghai and its adjacent areas. This includes the 276-room The Ritz-Carlton, Pudong Shanghai which is scheduled to open in mid-2010, the 680-room Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel which is scheduled to open in mid-2007, the 327-room Renaissance Shanghai Yuyuan Hotel which is also scheduled to open in mid-2007 and the 333-room Ningbo Marriott Hotel which is slated to open in mid-2008.
