The China Incentive Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition 2007 has formally opened in Beijing featuring 255 enterprise exhibitors, 247 VIP buyers and thousands of visitors who come to witness the growth of China's Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions sector.
A representative from Reed Exhibitions, the organizer of the event, said that with the rapid growth of China's travel market and the industry's concern about incentive travel, CIBTM has become one of the most influential global exhibitions in the Asia Pacific area. The registered participants this year's event increased by 50 percent compared with that of last year.
Li Huixin, who is in charge of international incentive travel service at Beijing Tourism Administration, said that CIBTM provides a good chance to promote China's incentive travel and lay down a strong foundation for better grasping the opportunities brought by the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Supported by the International Congress & Convention Association, Society of Incentive and Travel Executives and Meeting Professionals International, the event is a big get-together for famous organizations and travel experts who will come to hold in-depth discussions on development trends of incentive travel.
