Airlines from Europe have penetrated into every corner of Chinese market with improved services.

Among them, British Airways has taken a lead in launching a Chinese-language website targeting Chinese domestic students. Apart from providing such basic information as flight timetable, air ticket promotion and air agents' demography, the website also offers a large variety of travel and life related information to facilitate Chinese students' living in Great Britain. British Airways has also provided Chinese-language services on the ground.

Air France's live broadcasts of CCTV news programs on board caters to their Chinese passengers' demand. It also provides an interpreter on board for each flight flying to China as well as Chinese speaking staff at the airport to help Chinese tourists undergo various formalities, apart from offering Chinese language newspapers, magazines, film and authentic Chinese food on the plane.

From July 20, SAS will launch a Chinese language website to enable Chinese passengers to know about the airline and book air tickets. The company will hire 34 Chinese speaking hostesses to offer a hand in case of need. They will also offer Chinese language publications on board.

Finnair began to offer Chinese language ground services at Helsinki Airport as early as two years ago. The airline has also set up Chinese signs at the airport to provide convenience to passengers from China.

Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa Airlines have also provided Chinese food and newspapers on board. Lufthansa Airlines has even appointed a Chinese chef to provide food for the passengers.
