China Hotel, a Marriott Hotel, has started renovating ints south tower guestrooms in Guangzhou.
China Hotel has already finished the installation of OPERA, an advanced hotel management computer system, in addition to the upgrading of every guestroom with Marriott Revive New Bedding. Now, they plan to spend over RMB530 million on this new "Re-Invention Project".
Each new guestroom boasts a high-definition LCD TV with easy connectivity to iPods and computers, separate rain shower and tub, extra large working space for business travelers, and ergonomically designed Aeron-Herman Millar chairs. New guestrooms and Executive Floor areas in the first stage of the Re-Invention Project will be available starting October 14, 2007.
The second stage Re-Invention Project, taking place from November 2007 to March 2008, includes the remaining guestrooms, meeting facilities, western restaurants and recreation facilities. Also included in the second phase Re-Invention is China Hotel's greatly anticipated Spa facilities. The third stage, taking place from May to September 2008, will include the hotel lobby, Chinese restaurants and other logistic facilities designed to better serve guests.
Environmentalism is also a significant concept of the Re-Invention Project. The new hotel air-conditioning system will install a recently developed oxygen purification system for higher efficiency and cleaner air. A new heat recovery system will be attached to the existing drainage system for greater energy efficiency, and double glazing windows will be installed for spatial energy conservation and noise reduction.
