Statistics from the Xiamen Municipal Tourism Bureau show that in the first six months of this year, the city received 575,000 inbound tourists, which was an increase of 26% compared with the same period of last year. Of the total inbound tourists, 424,000 stayed at least one night in Xiamen, increasing by 18%. During the period, Xiamen received a total tourism income of US$340 million, up 24% for its inbound travel statistics.
