A Beijing-Shanghai Air Expressway jointly created by Air China, China Eastern, China Southern and Hainan Airlines will be formally initiated on August 6.

According to a representative from Air China, the expressway will first feature a denser flight schedule with one flight arranged every 30 minutes so that passengers can buy ticket and get on board any time. It will also feature a simplified check-in and on-board procedure.

Upon the completion of the No. 3 Terminal Building at the Beijing Capital International Airport, passengers will be able to complete the relevant formalities at the Dongzhimen Waiting Hall. In addition, after the Beijing-Shanghai Air Expressway is launched, air tickets of those participating airline companies, including discounted tickets, can reportedly be unconditionally changed.
