The Beijing Municipal Tourism Bureau says that the compilation of the first draft of the Rural Hotel Assessment Standard has been completed and has passed the review of the expert team.
According to local media, this now means that the standard is expected to be released soon.
According to a representative from BMTA, "rural hotel" is a new concept that BMTA has put forward for creating the second generation of rural travel. From the beginning of this year, BMTA has been using the Rural Hotel Assessment Standard on a trial basis in Changping District of Beijing, and with the assistance of Changping District Tourism Department, they have finished the draft of the Standard by referring to a great deal of on-site research and international best practice.
