The newly released Beijing Municipal Travel Agency Safety Management Rule (Trial) requires that security clauses should be woven through the entire content of the travel contracts signed between travel agencies and tourists.

According to the new rule, travel agencies should include safety clauses in their contracts with the tourists, highlight to the tourists about the hidden dangers during their trip and issue a safety and risk evaluation on the travel group after a trip is over.

In addition, travel agencies that organize tourists to go for special travel outings like mountaineering, driving, diving, skiing, ship cruises, exploring, hunting, surfing and horseback riding should take heed of safety measures in advance and show the measures to the tourists. Important travel groups containing VIP visitors should be also be registered with the relevant administration department for the sake of safety tracking if the group is lost.
