The new version of "Consular Protection and Help Guide" has been offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China at Beijing Capital Airport.
To protect overseas Chinese citizens' safety and legal rights, this new version includes five parts: a special reminder before travelers depart; an update of items after they leave; what consular officials can do for travelers overseas; what consular officials can not do for travelers overseas, and a Q&A for consular protection.
The appendix also includes the contacts of consular division within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the website of relevant ministries, and the contact details for Chinese embassies and consulates around the world.
The embassies and consulates will help agencies to print and distribute the guide for free. It is also available at the home page of mfa.gov.cn. This new guide should be a useful tool for the overseas Chinese citizens who may travel, study or work abroad.
