According to the Ministry of Commerce website, In the first half year, the hotel and catering industry in China maintained rapid growth.
The catering market demands appears strong, following stable improved business management. According to related data, the retail sales of the national hotel and catering industry amounted to RMB581.37 billion, an annual increase of 18%. The growth rate was 2.7 percentage points higher than last year, accounting for 13.8% in total retail sales of consumer goods, pulling it up by 2.4 percentage points, contributing 15.8% to its increase.
The number of newly approved foreign-invested enterprise in the hotel and catering industry was 420, down by 21.6%, and the total signed contract value in the sector was US$1.36 billion, down by 4.9%.
