In order to lessen pressure and maintain a good travel order, Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan Province will limit the number of tourists visiting the scenic spot during the upcoming National Day Holiday.

From October 2 to October 5, the scenic spot will for the first time limit the number of tourists. From September 2, Jiuzhaigou will begin to sell the door tickets online for the National Day holiday. They will sell only 10000 tickets every day.

According to a representative from Jiuzhaigou Management Department quoted in local media, Jiuzhaigou previously received more than 20000 tourists each day during the Golden Week holidays. In order to alleviate the pressure on the environment as a result of the large tourist flow, the Jiuzhaigou management department has decided to limit the number of tourists for the four days from October 2-5, when the scenic spot is expected to receive the most tourists during the October holiday.
