China Telecom Launches New MICE Service For Hoteliers

Beijing Telecom, an affiliate of China Telecom, has issued a notice to hotels across Beijing, announcing their new service New Vision, a long-distance video meeting system, will be an important tool for hotels to gain competitiveness in the hospitality market.
Beijing Telecom says that with New Vision, hotels don't have to build a new video meeting network or maintain it. Instead, they only need to install a video terminal at any place that is accessible to the network before they can conveniently hold a video-based meeting. Beijing Telecom says this new service helps hotels save money on other systems.
New Vision is an interactive multimedia communications service that combines video, audio and data. As a broadband service specially targeting business clients, this service represents the developing trend of the telecom operators. At present, China Telecom's New Vision has covered 31 provinces and cities in China.
