Hitachi Delivers 40 Elevators To The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel

Hitachi Elevator Engineering Company (Hong Kong) Limited, Hitachi's subsidiary for the sales, installation, maintenance and face-lifting of elevators in Hong Kong SAR, has announced plans to deliver 40 elevators to the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel ,which was just opened in Macao on August 28.

Located at Cotai Strip, the Venetian Macao Resort is a flagship project in Macao, offering 3000 deluxe suites. It has the world's largest casino and a large commercial space of more than 300,000 square meters, as well as a convention and exhibition venue, a theater and entertainment facilities.

Set up in 1966, Hitachi opened Hitachi Elevator Engineering Company (Hong Kong) Limited Macau Branch in 1980 and has been actively developing the escalator business in Hong Kong and Macau since then. At present, China, Southeast Asia and Japan are the three most important markets for Hitachi's elevator business. The company hopes to seek the highest market share in the three markets by 2010.
