The gaming and hospitality industry in Asia is experiencing mammoth growth with casino gaming a $8.8 billion industry in the Asia-Pacific region and it is projected to reach $18.5 billion by 2009.
A new conference called "Gaming and Hospitality", organized by Marcus Evans, is scheduled to take place March 12-14, 2008 at the Venetian Macau. Because of the positive trends in casino operations in Asia-Pacific, US casino operators are now investing heavily in the region and Macau takes the lead in this tremendous growth and has eclipsed Las Vegas as the gambling capital of the world when it surpassed its year end revenue last year at US$6.9 billion.
This spectacular growth continues with the opening of world's largest Gaming and entertainment facility, Venetian Macau at the Cotai strip. With the opening of Venetian, Macau aims to be an international destination, attract more customers, families and make them stay at the properties rather than just making a day trip to play at the casinos.
This also marks the unfolding of an era in Asian markets with the MICE industry bursting with growth.
This event aims to bring together all the different hues of this industry by streamlining the conference into six meaningful tracks which address the needs of the gaming and hospitality professionals, brings to the fore best and innovative business practices which will help the professionals raise the bar of their own performance as well as create a self-driven organization geared to succeed in this highly competitive market.
The conference also features a unique workshop, which addresses the needs of today's professional with an eye for tomorrow, focusing on talent management, building employee motivation, training and addressing need of cross-cultural adaptations and assimilations for middle management and senior management personnel.
