News from Beijing's Wangfujing Business Development Forum is that some domestic budget hotel chain brands will come to the Wangfujing area in Beijing.

Wangfujing Street is one of the main shopping streets in China's capital city. Part of the street is off-limits to automobiles, offering tourists a good opportunity to stroll.

Wang Peili, the district chief of Dongcheng District, has introduced that most hotels in Wangfujing are above the four-star level and the relative departments will push other business properties with eligible basic facilities to transform themselves into areas able to handle lodging. According to local media, Super 8 and Home Inns are expected to open new outlets around the area soon.

Wang also said that these budget hotels won't occupy the main street but will be distributed among lanes or feeder streets on the two sides of Wangfujing Street.
