Marco Polo Hotels has appointed David Sproul as general manager of Marco Polo Parkside, Beijing.
Sproul is a graduate of the Hotel Management School at Strathclyde College, Glasgow, Scotland. Recognized as an industry expert, he has opened and managed a number of hotels in Shanghai, Beijing and Dongyang. His background also includes a wealth of experience in food and beverage operations and development for various hotel management companies as well as a restaurant group in Hong Kong. His international experience includes assignments in China, Vietnam, Australia, Egypt and the Philippines.
