Hutchison Whampoa Limited has reportedly purchased land covering 913,900 square meters for RMB1.42 billion in Wuhan.

It is located on the banks of Zhiyin Lake and on both sides of Zhiyin Avenue in Caidian District. According to the development plan, there will be a 600-room five-star hotel within two years after the land is fully turned over, and the other parts will have residences or commercial buildings.

The chairman of Hutchison Whampoa Limited is Li Ka Shing, and the company is one of largest listed companies in Hong Kong. It operates in 39 countries and invests in properties and hotels, ports and related services, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing, energy and infrastructure.
