With all kinds of conferences and exhibitions being held in Beijing, both five-star and four-star hotels have reached more than 95% occupancy rates, and lower level hotels almost average 90%.
With events like the PT/Expo Comm China 2007 held in China International Exhibition Center, more foreigners and domestic businesses are converging on China's capital city.
All levels of hotels also reportedly increased their room prices by 40-50% during the last two weeks of October, with some hotels selling at 70% higher than that of the recent Golden Week period.
According to Ctrip.com, hotels near China International Exhibition Center and National Agriculture Exhibition Center are the most popular locations. Meanwhile room resources around Lufthansa Center, East 2nd Ring Road and Financial Street are also in short supply.
