Swissotel Grand, Shanghai is scheduled to open in early 2008 and has made five key management appointments.
Roslyn Chan was appointed director of revenue and marketing. A Malaysian national, Chan has more than 17 years of previous sales and marketing experience in China's major cities including Beijing, Xi'an, Changchun and Shanghai. She was area director of marketing at Le Royal Meridien Shanghai prior to her current position.
Wessel Krauss is the executive assistant manager in charge of rooms for the hotel. Krauss is a Dutch national with vast experience in rooms. Prior to joining the Swissotel Grand, Shanghai, he was the executive assistant manger with Sofitel Jin Jiang Oriental Pudong Shanghai.
Christopher Peach, having acquired a wealth of hospitality experience over the past two decades, is the newly appointed director of food and beverage and culinary operations. He has worked in several international hotels that include Holiday Inn, Sheraton and Radisson. Prior to this assignment, Peach was executive chef of Swissotel The Bosphorus, Istanbul, Turkey.
John Zhu has been appointed the hotel's financial controller. Zhu, a native Chinese from Shanghai, was formerly with the Radisson New World Hotel in Shanghai.
Ann Kau, form Singapore is the hotel's human resource director. Prior to joining the Swissotel Grand, Shanghai, Kau was with the Jin Jiang International Hotel Management Co. Ltd, Shanghai, as human resource project director.
